Newborn Photography Session FAQs

**Q: When is the best time to schedule a newborn photoshoot?**
A: It's recommended to schedule your newborn photoshoot within the first 2-3 weeks after your baby is born. During this time, newborns are typically sleepier and more likely to curl up into adorable poses, resulting in those precious, squishy newborn photos. to ensure we can get you in in this time, we recommend booking in a few weeks before you are likely to give birth. That way we can have the flexibility to move the session forward or back depending on their arrival.

**Q: How long does a newborn photoshoot typically last?**
A: Newborn photoshoots can vary in duration but generally last between two to four hours. This allows plenty of time for feeding, soothing, and capturing those sweet, sleepy moments. Patience is key, as we work around your baby to ensure a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. I will go through a prep guide with you ahead of the newborn photography session to ensure that we get the most out of it and plan it with you.

**Q: What should I bring to the newborn photoshoot?**
A: You can bring along any special items or props you'd like to incorporate into the photoshoot, such as blankets, hats, or family heirlooms. Additionally, don't forget to pack extra nappies, wipes, and a change of clothes for both you and your baby. Outfits for the session arne't needed as I tend to shoot baby bare, wrapped, or in one of my special newborn photography outfits.

**Q: Can siblings and parents participate in the newborn photoshoot?**
A: Absolutely! Siblings and parents are welcome to join in on the fun and be included in the photoshoot. It's a wonderful opportunity to capture the love and connection within your growing family. I go through with you before the session how we can work this in to the session and how best to prepare siblings. You can even bring the grandparents if you wish. What a special gift to be able to give your neborn as they get older. Something they will treasure forever.

**Q: How should I prepare my newborn for the photoshoot?**
A: To help ensure a successful photoshoot, try to keep your baby awake and alert for a couple of hours before the session. This will increase the likelihood of them falling into a deep sleep during the shoot, allowing us to capture those adorable, cosy poses. I will go through the prep with you ahead of the session as to get a sleepy content baby.
